Russian artists honored at the Montparnasse Museum

The Montparnasse Museum, based in the atelier of the Russian artist Marie Vassilieff in which she was holding a canteen for artists, is keeping the documents available about the artists living in the area of Montparnasse in the XVth arrondissement of Paris,  including the School of Paris.

The perfect place to pay tribute to Russian artistes in exile. The exhibition "Russian artists out of the frontiers" will be held at the Montparnasse Museum to the 31st of october, 2010.

The Bourdelle Museum : discover the work of one of the best french sculptors

Built around Bourdelle's workshop, in the Montparnasse district in Paris where artists used to live and work in the 19th century, the Bourdelle museum gathers his sculptures, paintings and photographs. You can also find his personal collection, with works of Rodin, Monticelli, Carrière, Puvis de Chavannes, Ingres and Delacroix.

Focus on the life and work of an artist who left his mark on sculpture in the XXth century.

Aragon and contemporary art, Paris 15th district

Louis Aragon is one of the main french writer of the XXth century. He wrote about the greatest artists of his time : Signac, Pirosmani, Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Chagall, Klee, Man Ray, De Chirico, Ernst, Masson, Malkine… Their works are exhibited at the L’adresse la Poste Museum, in the 15th district of Paris.

The plurality of the body through engravings in the Michèle Broutta Gallery (Paris 15th district)

Taking contemporary art out of its context at the Michel Journiac gallery (Paris 15th District)

Déjà vu is a series of events organized by a collective of art students from the Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Round tables, workshop and animations take the artworks out of the analysis delivered to the public, to open them to new interpretations.
